Historic Building Recovery Grant Program: Staff
Click the pictures above for examples of Historic Building Recovery Grant Program in action!
The Program has 7 historic preservation specialists in New Orleans that work directly with the owners of historic buildings who have been awarded the grant. Their efforts with grant recipients are facilitated by the program’s accountant who works in the offices of the state Division of Historic Preservation in Baton Rouge. The New Orleans staff members assist the grant recipients in planning their repairs and renovations and in tracking the work progress from start to finish. They also help the grant recipients spend their grant money as wisely as possible, making sure that renovation and repair decisions follow historic rehabilitation guidelines established by the National Park Service. Working together as a team, the staff brings a wealth of relevant historic preservation experience with them from a variety of educational and work backgrounds. Click on each of the names below to read more about these dedicated preservationists.
