TRAVEL ADVISORY: The campground at Tickfaw State Park has flooded and will be closed through Thursday, Feb. 11. High water on main road to the park has prompted the closure of the cabins at noon on Monday, Feb. 8. The Nature Center will remain open to day-use visitors, but all trails and other recreation will not be available. Persons with overnight reservations are encouraged to contact the Call Center at 1-877-226-7652, if you have questions or concerns regarding your trip.

Louisiana's State Parks, Historic Sites, and Preservation Area offer you and your family a uniquely rewarding experience of our state's natural beauty and historical riches. Come enjoy championship fishing, relive a Civil War battle, hear the best of Louisiana's country music, or pitch a tent under the stars. State Parks are open 365 days a year. State Historic Sites and our Preservation Area are open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily except Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day.
