Engraving of a Caddo Indian Chief
This engraving shows a Caddo chief wearing a European shirt and gorget, holding a musket, and wearing a type of turban. This type of turban was common among Indians of the Southeastern United States. The date of the publication of the book that contains the engraving suggests that the engraving was made of a Caddo Chief in Oklahoma.
