| | | | | Pipestem Fragments | | Pipestem fragments are uncommon at Los Adaes, while they are common at French and British colonial sites. It is possible that the Spanish at Los Adaes preferred to roll their tobacco and smoke it in a cigar form, rather than in a pipe. The longest of these pipestem fragments is 3.72 cm. | | Photo credit: Don Sepulvado Source: Williamson Museum, Northwestern State University, Natchitoches, Louisiana | |
