Stallings Center, New Orleans
Comments: It is difficult to comment on a tiny drawing, with no indication of what the space inside will be used for.
However, it is ugly, jail-like, and the design looks mid-century modern.
It has no relevance whatsoever to our neighborhood, and resembles what they tore down.
The exterior should be colorful and welcoming. What is in the drawing is cold and forbidding.
The least that could be done is to choose a blonde brick instead of the red. And for the white area to have a large-scale artwork/graphic.
Absolutely no signage right? We wouldn't want people to know what the heck the building is!
I do not see an accessible entrance (for wheelchairs etc). I'm pretty sure this is mandated.
There is no way to see how large it is - I think it is marked on the drawing but I can't read 2 point type.
How much open space will be on the lot?
What will be on the open space? Basketball court? Tennis court? Swimming pool?
Where on the lot is the building to be located - same as the old one? or up against St Claude?
What about landscaping?

I could go on, but, hopefully some of these points will be addressed and we will be shown something else before construction proceeds.
