Comments: After seeing the full pdf file of the plans, I withdraw most of my questions as to landscaping etc.
However, I still have questions.... there was only an interior of the first floor - what is the second floor or is it just open space?
Comparing it to the St Bernard NORD center, it is TINY! Appears to be only 2 open rooms (dance and multipurpose).
Is a kitchen really necessary? It would be better to have another room that could be actually used for recreation.
After all kids are coming here for that right? not to eat....
I guess that depends on whether or not there are other rooms upstairs.
Why is there so much parking? Kids are not driving here! It is primarily a neighborhood center, and anyhow, many people in this neighborhood don't have cars.
I can't believe it is required, since restaurants pop up all the time without ANY offstreet parking.
I recommend taking out most of the parking and adding a basketball court outside or enlarging the play area outside...or, adding a veggie garden so kids can learn about growing food.
