1906 S. Carrollton Ave.
Comments: As a resident in the affected area for this project and as a neighbor who is active in my community (I serve on the neighborhood association board), I request your consideration to my following comments regarding the design of the water towers:
Many of my neighbors have commented regarding the possible aesthetics of the water towers. The majority of the comments I have heard revolve around ensuring the look of the water towers are consistent with our neighborhood. I agree with my neighbors that the proposed water towers do not meet that expectation as they look boiler plate and industrial which is opposite to the aesthetics of our neighborhood. I request that FEMA modify the current options of designs with the input of residents before construction begins. I support the proposed design presented by Drew Ward at the Carrollton Riverbend Neighborhood Association's meeting on Thursday, Feb. 19. I request FEMA to strive to build a water tower that meets both the infrastructure and aesthetic needs of the residents of Carrollton. Each need is substantial and impacts the quality of life in our neighborhood.
