Comments:	I'm writing to urge that the House of Detention be available to journalists, writers, historians, photographers, artists, and other interested parties to document before its destruction. The building is a repository of crucial historical importance at a time in which criminal justice is receiving unprecedented attention and consideration. To envision what the future should look like, we need a clear and deep vision of the past. Documenting the existing building will an invaluable asset in this work that could not be more important.
