The visitors would also be able to enter the winter quarters exhibit to see how the soldiers lived. They can also try on some of the clothing and equipment the troops used. 10/13/2018 • Fort St. Jean Baptiste State Historic Site, Natchitoches - Using Modern Objects to Learn About Archaeology, 10 a.m. - Noon If your children are 6-10 years old and like to dig in the dirt, piece things together, figure out clues and learn about the past, this will be a fun two hours for them as fort staff offer an archaeology learning experience. The French called a toss game chuck farthing, but today it is known as backyard toss, baggo, chuck-o, the bags game, beanbags. We just call it corn-hole.
