Thursdays - Saturdays • Centenary State Historic Site, Jackson - Daily Tours, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. The tour will begin at the Professor’s House with an introduction to the site’s history and a tour through the house. The tour will then continue outside and pass by the original locations of the East Wing Dormitory and Main Academic Building on the way to the West Wing Dormitory, to tour the rooms there. As Requested • Centenary State Historic Site, Jackson - Bite the Bullet, Because of Centenary’s use as a Confederate hospital during the Civil War, this program focuses on the methods and instruments used by the Civil War-era doctor. Visitors are invited to the site to take part in a Civil War Medicine discussion/demonstration by a member of the site’s staff, followed by a tour to the Confederate Cemetery located on the grounds. Included will be the Cup and Ball, Bilbo-Catchers, Jacob´s Ladder, Chess and Checkers, Graces, Hoop and Stick, Croquet, Horseshoes, and many, many more. Pre-registration is required.
