Franklin Christmas on the Bayou with a Trail to the Lampposts

Description:
Franklin will showcase its Main Street and the unique cultural assets and features of its historic district with its Christmas on the Bayou celebration.
Shops on Main Street will be showcased to ring in the holiday shopping season. Carnival acts and costumed characters will adorn Main Street and a children`s area will profile magicians, mimes, acrobats, arts and crafts, and games.
There will be buggy rides, a Christmas boat parade on Bayou Teche, music and flavorful food displaying the culinary dishes of Louisiana`s Creole and Cajun heritage. Santa Claus will disembark from the boat parade and offer treats and photo opportunities for the kids.
A Lamplighter will light the St. Mary Parish seat to hearken the Christmas holidays and mark the advent of the holiday season. The evening will end with a fireworks display.
