Artspot Productions is an ensemble of artists dedicated to creating meticulously LIVE theater in New Orelans. Our productions are a sincere blend of disciplines developed through ensemble authorship, physically rigorous training, original music, interactive sculptural environments, and extended research and rehearsal. We practice social justice and shared power in our creative and organizational processes, and we strive to incite positive change in our community with visually stunning performances and empowering educational programs.

Presenting in theaters, museums, festivals, and schools in the United States, South and Central America, Europe, and Asia, Calliope Puppets invite family audiences on explorations of folklore, culture, and fantasy to bring imagination to learning. Aside from performances, Calliope Puppets offer workshops in puppetry for children, educators, and theater professionals.Recent publications include Puppet Links Video Workshop (DVD and manual) Choices in Conflict Resolution: Understanding Win/Lose, Lose/Lose, and Win/Win.

Nathan Kepner and Morgan-Tsu Raun began performing together while attending college at Penn State University - they hold a degree and education and sociology respectively. While Nathan began performing magic publicly as a teenager, Morgan honed her skills in a variety of circus skills - when the two met, they´re approaches to the variety arts were an instant match. Upon graduating both moved to New Orleans where they began to share their unique fusion of magic and circus arts with audiences throughout the south. Now the duo holds six international titles including "World Champion of Stage Magic", has shared their craft with audiences from Las Vegas to London and recently appeared on The Tonight Show.

Mahogany Ensemble Theatre, resident theatre of the M.E.C.C.A. Foundation, is the premier African American community theatre of North Louisiana. Mahogany´s mission is to enlighten, enrich, and empower communities by producing and presenting quality classic, contemporary, and original plays of the African American experience while exploring the common ground of humanity. Since 2003, Mahogany Ensemble Theatre has successfully mounted and toured mainstage productions, dinner and children´s theatre throughout North Louisiana and beyond. Daphne Thomas is a Louisiana Performing Artist who uses movement, storytelling, poetry and song to engage students of all ages! This enlightening performance is designed to promote community involvement and literacy, using original stories and poems to showcase the unique culture of Louisiana. Her audience travels on an educational field trip around the world learning about various cultures, while also learning about their own identities. Mrs. Thomas has been showcased at the Louisiana Black Bear Festival, Louisiana Heart Beats television program, the St. Mary Parish Library, district school programs in southwest Louisiana and various programs with the Acadiana Center for the Arts. Her first book "I Love to Imagine" was recently published.

Based in New Orleans, JoséTorres-Tama tours nationally and internationally with satirical one-man shows that explores the underbelly of the North American Dream mythology, the Latino immigrant experience and New Orleans Creole History. A Louisiana Theater Fellow and NEA award recipient, he received a 2010 Creation Fund award from the National Performance Network for the commissioning of ALIENS, IMMIGRANTS & OTHER EVILDOERS, a sci-fi Latino noir one-man show that satirizes the status of immigrants as "aliens and extraterrestrials". His critically acclaimed post-Katrina performance "The Cone of Uncertainty" chronicles his escape from the flooded city of New Orleans on a stolen school bus three days after the levees breached.

Broussard is a former classroom teacher, school and academic librarian and is currently a storyteller, and book author who recently completed the book, Images of America: African Americans in Lafayette and Southwest Louisiana and her newest book: Louisiana’s Zydeco published by Arcadia Publishing Company. The books feature some of people who live and work in southwest Louisiana from doctors to Zydeco musicians. Broussard has just published a children’s book, The Birthday Box, and looks forward to sharing this story with children across the state
