Comments: "As an alumni with many wonderful memories of Booker T. Washington High School, my education, the teachers, the many friends, and those school activities, I would like to see the school and the auditorium completely restored and returned to it's original splindor, glory and historical greatness! However.......because the funds of about $59,000,000.00 has already been allocated by the state for the demolishion of the school, with a new state of the art school constructed on the site, including restoreing of the auditorium, I'am in complete support of a new B.T.W. With the cost to restore the school and auditorium costing rouhgly an additional $14,000,000.00, how wise is it economicaly to expect the state to allocate those additional funds to B.T.W., when there are other folks in need of funds in other areas of the city for a school. Can we afford to delay this project? Can we afford the risk of loseing the allocated funds? Absolutely not! It's been over five years; it's time to move on"!!!!!
