Comments:	I'm a very proud and successful 1965 graduate of B. T. Washington Senior High School in New Orleans, LA. BTW is an historical high school that has educated generations of New Orleanians. There were over 400 students my graduation class. We were prepared for academic excellence, vocational superiority. In addition to scholars BTW's graduation classes included: LPNs, Barbers, Cosmetologist, Auto Mechanics, Shoe Repairman, Printers, Vocal and Instrumental musicians, and others skilled in carpentry, agriculture and landscaping . BTW had the best band in the city for years. Our basketball teams were perennials state champions, our scholars won many state honors in academic challenges. During the 1950s and 1960s BTW produced extravagant operettas that were an intrinsic part of the city wide African American society. These extravaganzas were held in the historic BTW Auditorium. Please demolition BTW only as a last result. If demolition is required please replace our treasure with a replica building resplendent with its glorious past.
