Comments: I do not believe that St. Francis Cabrini Church should be considered a historic property. My home, which is in that neighborhood, is older than that church, and so are many of the other homes in that area. My house will be torn down next week. Many of the others have already been demolished. FEMA, fortunately, did not object when we were given permits to demolish. I'd also like to remind those those who are in favor of preserving St. Francis Cabrini that a church is not a building, it is a people. It's the ministry that is important, not the building. In St. Francis Cabrini parish an important part of the ministry was the school. Those who favor preserving the church have not shown me a plan for continuing the ministry, including the school. Holy Cross, on the other hand, has a plan for a ministry. I totally support Holy Cross.
