||In a quote taking from the Holy Cross Man,the school code
"He knows that HIS school is a training ground where he must mold himself into a usefulman. "
OUR SHCOOL, not part of someones old school. An a broken down, disgusting part at that.
This seems to be a hot topic for me the last few days. I know it has also been for all my friends. Everyday we seem to have a new "did you read that comment." Reading these comments of Alumnus from the years of '62,'66,'71 and up, shows what true love for Holy Cross is , and it shows you what most peoples High schools mean to them, that 50 years after you graduate you still have a say in what happens to your school. Why not let this love continue? At Holy Cross our parents expect us to start as a boy and come out as a man. I do not see how that is possible next to an building infested with asbestos. I personally have seen the church, and it is a sight for sore eyes. It looked bad before Hurricane Katrina, let alone after. I know its sad to lose something 40 years old, you are right. How do you think we feel, for our 127 year old campus that we are losing. Sometimes you have to sacrifice to improve. Is that not what we are taught through life? This is a small sacrifice to make, for the love, family, and respect Holy Cross will bring to this community.
So FEMA if you can not see why the Building that WAS a church needs to be torn down. I do not know what to say.
Tear this building down and make way for the New Gentilly and make way for Holy Cross
