5500 Paris Avenue - Church
Comments: I live two blocks from the church and have been back in my home for almost 1 year. Before the storm, the chuch needed significant repair. The damage caused by the storm make the existing struture unsalvageable.

In my opinion, the exterior and interior of the structure are ugly and have no characteristics that I consider historic. The stucco roof and walls reflect construction trends at the time the buiding was built (less than 50 years) ago.

The Holy Cross Tigers are a welome addition to my neighborhood. The long term impact of this project to the recovery of New Orleans and Gentilly cannot be measured.

I realize there are one or two parishioner who would like to save the structure. I think that a memorial to the church is appropriate and suggest the following:

1. A Bronze Plaque On The Site
